New Kia Logo Rumoured

Recently filed with the Korean trademark office and still pending approval according to reports, a new Kia logo seems to be on the cards soon.

Angular and interlinked, the yet to be officially confirmed new logo is sharper more modern one than the familiar and more conventionally lettered long-time oval logo currently in use. The proposed new logo seems to reflect the huge design-led change that’s been happening at Kia over the last decade, and is still in process.

Overtly sportier and edgier, the said new logo also seems to reflect Kia’s more ambitious sporting, luxury and premium-oriented ambitions, and has been submitted to the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service in red and black versions, with one of the two presumably being reserved for ‘hot’ performance-oriented models and versions.

Coming soon after Volkswagen’s new re-interpreted, simplified and more digital-friendly logo,  a logo very similar to Kia’s rumoured one above has already adorned the Kia Imagine Concept unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
